Forum Changes

The site has got a new look, and viewing privelages have of course been altered. When a new user registers they will only be able to see the "General Forums" section and the "Entertainment" section. To start chatting with your fellow Kinnies, introduce yourself in the "Forum Registration" thread in the "Game Registration and Forum FAQs" forum. The admins of the site will then change your viewing privelages so that you can view and post in the forum matching the game that you play. Old members will not be required to do this, and submasters of the forum will have the lucky option of being able to view all sections x). Happy gaming Kinnies.

-Nesais
Despite this, games don't last forever, and we must all move onto new ventures, regretfully having to abandon the connections and efforts we have made. Because of the choice by the founding leadership to put less effort into Megaten and the presence of the clan in this game, we are continuing to cleanup the forums and make things a bit tighter, with the likely future being that the Megaten Forums will take on an archival state. It will also leave room for any other games we return to, or venture to during the near future. I'd like to take this chance to say it has been a thrill and pleasure to know each and every one of you and that I wish you good luck on the road ahead.

-Nesais
I've always tried to instill the same spirit of Sanctus and Kinryoku in
each leader and submaster that has been in power, with varying degrees
of success. Roxas has decided that with this new batch of members,
Kinryoku's approach to creating this "clan bond" and "internal unity" as I sometimes call it, should match the current members. I agree that a different wide variety of members needs a different approach than the one I tried to take with the clan.

Since Kinryoku is trying to establish itself in a new era, with a different set of leadership principles, there have been some rather dramatic changes, which will force myself, to alter the way in which I support the clan. As a result I've deleted the roleplay quests that I was planning to resume developing with the clan, and I've also withdrawn myself from the forum-based coordination from many of these events and runs. I will remain as a forum "administrator" for the time being, but I would like to resign from the role of the spearhead of the forum-based efforts, as well as my recent resignation from submaster in game.

We have a new era ahead of us, and change is sometimes hard for people to accept. Trust in your master and your leadership, and understand what they want for you. Kinryoku was founded on certain principles, and many of these principles will be changing, but the core idea of Kinryoku remains the same - to help members in their enjoyment of the game by creating a unity and bond between members of the clan.

A Call to Arms for Kinnies of Old and New

Quite recently there was a dramatic change in the lineup of in game
submasters. This has unsettled quite a few of the founding leaders of
the clan. This change has occurred to suit the new set of members that
Kinryoku has, and is based on current contribution, not past
contribution, to the clan. For those of you feeling insulted by this -
you still remain submasters on the forum, and there's a very good
reason for this: while the group of members might change, and the
people active in the clan might change, we respect that old members do
come back. In my hearts, you are the heroes and heroines of Kinryoku.
Do not let your demotion sway you from the path that was forged by your
sweat and blood. You are Kinryoku, you are power, you are sanctuary -
though you walk amongst mortals who do not know your divine heritage,
you still have within you the same power and might that embodies what
Kinryoku was founded for. I encourage all fallen submasters to rise

though you walk amongst mortals who do not know your divine heritage,
you still have within you the same power and might that embodies what
Kinryoku was founded for. I encourage all fallen submasters to rise
from the ashes, return to your new people, return to their hearts,
uphold your pride and your courage, and claim your leadership as you
stride into battle.

If you want to be a member of Kinryoku you have to get along. Kinryoku
is also losing its sense of identity, members no longer know what it
means to be a Kinnie, to walk into a dungeon, horribly unprepared, die
lots, lose lots of durability, and still have the best time ever! To
all submasters I beg you, return to this way of thinking and behaving
in game, we need to guide our new flock to greener pastures, and not
just that but we have to make biblical metaphors more often (get off
the stage). Also, we need to develop roleplay quests and incentive for
members to register on the forums. So, while people might be unsettled
to the point where they want to quit - it is your choice, but even
though old members are encountering a new leadership, that does not
have to stop us from being Kinryoku. The world of Demon Busters has never known the fury and passion that
was Sanctus, after it fell. This is a call to arms - heroes, heroines,
return!

Kinryoku Phase 8 Reaches 2/3rd's of Sanctums Glory

Yesterday was the last day of a trial with new forum viewing permissions, and today the restrictions have been lifted so guests can now view the forums. In addition to this I would like to report an all time high for Kinryoku during phase 8 with 19 members logged in at once. We have over 90 members and are currently 16 notches away from being a level 10 clan. It was also good to see the return of Ceyx and Aretsu, to bring back old time classic style fun stuff. As Ceyx said, as Kinryoku is, it's about 2/3rd's as good as Sanctum was, so while we've achieved something great, we've still got a bit to go before we return ourselves to glory. For those of you who don't know what Sanctum is, it is an earlier conception of Kinryoku that was very succesful. For more information read the clan direction page or ask me in person.

-Nesais

Over the next few weeks there will be a few roleplay quests put into place. These quests will have two parts: one part, is the in game activities relating to the quest, and the other part is the roleplay itself, which will be based mainly in the forums. At current we have four roleplay quests in mind (currently only 1 is in progress, and only 3 have been posted as of the time of this news update), and more can be added by other submasters or other members, so if you have an idea, post it, or chat to others to see how to develop it further. The game mechanics do limit what we can do and how creative we can be, but that doesn't mean we can't enjoy the game itself.

Each roleplay quest has a strict or recommended level. Most of the roleplay quests I have mind are recommended for levels 50+, since they exploit game content that is designed for these levels. Trying to recognize the game content, I'd like for the game experience for new members to the game and clan to take the following path: Acts 1-16 to cover levels 1-35; Ichi Gold Clan Runs levels 35-50+; Roleplay Quests/Higher Level Game Content and PVP levels 50+.

-Nesais

Forum Usage and Cleanup

Usage of the forum is rather lax, and I've decided to put into work a
trial idea, which is - guests cannot view the forums. Hopefully this
will encourage members to login more often, and prohibit non-members
from viewing clan material. I am also making a guest noticeboard forum
for guests to view the current happenings of the clan, and if they wish
to discuss the ideas, or view them in more detail they can login. Once
I'm back in game I'll also be trying to add in more forum content, such
as screenshots, and in game/forum quest steps in the hope that this
increases forum usage.
May 2010 will mark Kinryoku's first birthday, and this is quite an achievement since the game itself hasn't been around that long. While the game has only so much content, we want the clan itself and the community of the game to encourage people to team up, explore the game and develop your character, and make the game an enjoyable experience for everyone. Following on from the short lived Kinryoku Foundation clan event last year, I have created Ogami's Intentions, a clan quest that will encourage members to group up and explore the basement of Old Ichigaya Camp. I've also asked for what other ideas people have in making 2010 a bigger and better year for Kinryoku, a clan that believes in creating power through sanctuary. I hope that we will be able to get a firm leadership, senior members group, avid dungeon running for Suginami Tunnels, Old Ichigaya Camp, and Celu Tower gold runs, and use a keen recruitment ...

I hope that we can also encourage members to PVP frequently together, whether on the same or different sides, it would be good to continuously encourage Kinryoku to grow and to become well known to the larger game community. This year will be interesting for the clan and the game, let's see where it goes :)

Kinryoku Activity Increases

Last weekend, while the Mysteries of Megaten clan event didn't really take the planned course, it was substituted with an equally awesome Old Ichigaya Camp (Gold) 3 kings run during ndp. A photo from this can be seen here: http://kinryoku.at.ua/forum/26-144-1, ironically I forgot to take a photo of the event until after we had killed the 3 kings. Oh well too bad XD I am also very proud of the clan for its activity, cooperation, and understanding recently concerning all matters from participation in runs, to respecting other members actions and choices and excommunications and for just being a damn good bunch of members. Stick at it Kinryoku, this clan rocks, and we make it this cool, together.
